Bicycle Night
Immersive Experience Designer | 2020 | Immersive virtual experience for MAPS | view all creations
Created an immersive virtual event for MAPS to commemorate Bicycle Day.
In collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), I led the creation of Bicycle Night, an award-winning virtual event celebrating Albert Hoffman’s discovery of LSD. Designed and executed within an astonishing 9 days, the event brought together over 12,000 participants to experience a horizontally scrolling digital journey where attendees could ‘ride’ a virtual bicycle through 40+ artist-generated live experiences.
This innovative event blended original artwork, interactive elements, and playful experiences, creating a joyful environment to celebrate the psychedelic renaissance while generating donations for MAPS and COVID relief. Collaborating with nearly 100 creators, including renowned artists like Alex and Allyson Grey, Duncan Trussell, and the Fungineers, we developed an immersive website, mobile companion, and curated a dynamic array of live content that resonated deeply with participants.

The Experience
Are you ready for an adventure?
The experience consisted of one evening of synchronous play, across the rabbit hole of the interwebs. Participants would make an optional donation and use the website as their guide to join experiences at three levels of interaction ~ alongside accessing peer support resourcing.
