La Tierra
Designed and led a series of think tanks, informing the master plan of a 430 acre regenerative village in Costa Rica.
la tierra exists as an opportunity to create a radically regenerative eco-village on 430 acres of land in Costa Rica and bring to life a vision that seeks to re-imagine the village. It is a regenerative village that embodies and teaches the principles of a regenerative future.
To design this village and create a master plan, we hosted a series of think tanks. These are brainstorming sessions bringing together experts from around the world to inform the master plan; a document conveying the vision and development plan.
My contributions:
Co-designing the identification of topics/categories
Creating supporting artifacts and communication channels to engage/inform guardians (attendees)
Creating think tank design template in Miro
Extending the template to four of the topics
Co-facilitating think tank calls with contributors
Advising on strategy per topic, as a contributor within each think tank
Identifying and engaging team members to support the process
What I loved about this project:
Diving in the deep end of considerations when developing and stewarding land.
Connecting with inspiring professionals of an enormous range of fields, all sharing the vision and mission to create a regenerative future.
That the learnings and design of this project are being open sourced; shared openly with others to reference and build from.
Using miro to facilitate real-time collaboration for a large group
Highlights:
This was my project focus while attending the Design Science Studio.
I remain an active advisor on the project.
