Quest for Greatness


Created an immersive metaverse experience, telling the story of why Seven Seven Six invested in Topia – and their vision of redefining greatness.

I led the creation of the concept, production and live announcement.

The first world of Tolympia explains why Seven Seven Six invested in Topia. It starts by bringing participants back in time, telling the story of the first Olympics. It frames the question “What could have been different if we went back to the starting line?”.

The second world took participants on a Quest for Greatness, bringing them through six experiences that explore the meaning of greatness.

The third world was an Easter egg, leading to an agora filled with artifacts of greatness from across time.


What I loved about the project:

  • Working with a talented team of 12+ artists and designers to create the worlds.

  • The profound quality of the stories and diverse visual styles for each world (layered, 2.5 dimensions).

  • How sensorially rich the experiences were; with sound effects, voice-over audio, games and other interactivity.


Highlights:

  • The worlds were built to showcase the best of Topia, in celebration of a $5 million seed raise by Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six and launch of Topia’s Creator Ecosystem.

  • Journalists were invited into a digital amphitheatre to attend the live announcement and conduct interviews.

  • The worlds could be experienced independently or in groups – and continue to remain evergreen.

  • The project was completed within a short timeframe and limited budget, relative to the ambitious concept.
